Businesses from all over Northland are in the final stages of the entry process for the 2015 Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards. There is a category to suit every business, from micro through to large businesses, including arts and not for profit organisations. Each entrant will be looking to strive, succeed and inspire, as they vie for the coveted Supreme Business Award title.
This year also sees Innovate Northland introduced into the Awards categories. This is a separate entry and was created to celebrate innovative, creative and entrepreneurial ideas throughout Northland.
NZ Chambers of Commerce Northland are determined to make the process as easy as possible and show potential entrants how this can help their business grow and develop. There is no cost to enter the awards, you do not need to be a member of the Chamber and there are significant benefits to entering including the supreme award winner’s package valued at over $9,300.
It’s not too late to strive for success through the entry process, look at your business in a different light, receive valuable feedback, make new business connections and help your business be the best it can be. The final date for business category entries is Friday 14th August.
Alongside the business awards categories, NZ Chambers of Commerce Northland are now accepting nominations for The Northern Advocate Northland Business Hall of Fame and More FM Customer Choice Awards through until Friday 25th September.
The Northern Advocate Northland Business Hall of Fame:
The NZ Chambers of Commerce Northland is now accepting nominations for this year’s inductee for the Northern Advocate Northland Business Hall of Fame. This award celebrates the achievement of those people within the Northland business community who have made significant contributions to the region. It recognises those who have, during their business career, demonstrated service both to their industry and to the greater Northland community. It is not necessary that they still live or operate in Northland but that they need to have a strong connection to Northland and preferably where living outside Northland that this connection is widely known.
If there is someone that you believe deserves nominating please forward their details to the Chamber along with a short paragraph as to why they should be inducted.

More FM Customer Choice Awards:
The NZ Chambers of Commerce Northland is now accepting nominations for this year’s More FM Customer Choice Awards. In keeping with tradition we will be recognising the best in both business to customer service and business to business service through two awards; one for Retail and one for Service Providers. These awards are presented to businesses and their staff whose contributions and achievements have made them stand out from the crowd. They are a symbol of the high standards of commitment and service each provides and which people have come to expect.
Previous winners are businesses in our own community, who through their hard work and dedication, have been selected by local consumers for their outstanding achievements and standards of excellence.
