The Northland Business Excellence Awards are back for 2021; powered by Top Energy and North Power
The Northland Business Excellence Awards are back for 2021 and entries are now open. This years awards are powered by major sponsors Top Energy and Northpower.
There is no cost to enter the awards, you do not need to be a member of NorthChamber and there are significant benefits for all businesses who enter, including free independent feedback and recommendations on grow your business capability.
Entrants are grouped and measured against businesses of a similar scale using a modified version of the Baldridge System; a robust and quantifiable measurement of a business’s performance, which can then be used to compare the entrant against like and unlike businesses. This approach ensures there is an award category to suit businesses of all sizes, from sole traders to large organisations.
Businesses from the Not-for-profit, innovation and creative industries are also celebrated alongside the business categories. There are several dedicated categories which offer businesses the opportunity to be recognised for their performance in a specialist area such as Environmental, Health and Safety or digital transformation.
To make process of entering as easy as possible, six free Entrant Coaching Clinics are being held throughout Northland to clarify the entry process and provide some insight to what the judges are looking for. All entrants are encouraged to attend a Coaching Clinic, which are facilitated by NorthChamber and Business Coaching New Zealand.
At these Coaching Clinics entrants will be informed on how to best present their business when completing the entry form. Where possible, sample answers will be used to illustrate the information that the judges will be looking for. The aim is for entrants to leave the Coaching Clinics with a clear idea of how best to present their business to the judges.
Following the Coaching Clinics, which will be 1 to 1.5 hours in duration, all entrants will have access to ongoing support and advice throughout the entry process from NorthChamber and Business Coaching New Zealand.
